Richard Harold Turney

Mr. Richard Harold Turney , age 70 of Ooltewah, TN formerly of LaFollette passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 11, 2017, after a four year battle with cancer.  He was a U. S. Army Vietnam Veteran, an Ordained Deacon, and a current member of Brainerd Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by Wife, Nancy Perry Turney; Father, Harold B. Turney, and Brother, Edward Paul Turney.

Richard is survived by Mother, Mrs. Louise Turney; Daughter, Tana Meador; Son, Cary Jernigan and wife, Rhonda; Grandchildren, John and Lindsay Putnam, Scott and Lacey Jernigan, Ben Jernigan, Sierra, Ashton, and Caleb Meador; Great Grandchildren, Noah and Luke Putnam.  Several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Friday 12 P.M. at LaFollette First Baptist Church with Dr. Duane B. Mills officiating.   Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends Friday from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. before services at the Church.  Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Campbell County Cancer Association, P.
