Rev. Leonard Virgil Wilson

Rev. Leonard Virgil Wilson, age 74 of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023.   He was pastor of Rock of Christ Lighthouse Church for several years, was a family man, and was not a quitter.  Rev. Wilson enjoyed fishing, cracking jokes, and flea markets.  He was a singer, played the guitar, and was a great story teller.  Preceded in death by Wife, Linda Wilson, Son, Russell Wilson, Father, Virgil Elmer Wilson, and Sister, Helen Jean Griffith.

Survivors:  Children, Sherry Lee Mattox and husband, Tim, Misty Johnson, Tonya Wilson, and Amber Wilson; Grandchildren, Shelly, Tilly, Molly, Emily, Chloe, Haley, Preston, Jacob, Peyton, Adam, Brittany, Amber, Jessica, Erika, Taylor, Dora, Isabella, Xavier, Maranda, and Elsa; Several Great-Grandchildren; Mother, Anna Gillette Wilson; Sister, Ann Felker; Former Wife and Mother of Russell, Sherry, and Misty, Sharon Dockery.  Several other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Monday, January 9, 2023, 1:00 P. M. at Calvary’s Way Church, Loop Road, LaFollette, TN with Rev. Dusty Brock officiating.  Interment to follow at Sharp Wilson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Monday before funeral services at the Church.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Rev. Leonard Virgil Wilson.
