Melody Lynette Harmon, age 46, of LaFollette, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Melody was a beautiful woman whose presence could light up any room. She was smart, funny, loving, and caring, with a personality that was truly unforgettable.

She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and family deeply. She was especially excited to welcome her newest grandbaby, whom she already carried so much love for.

Melody loved unconditionally and stood fiercely beside the people she loved. She had a special way of making people laugh, bringing comfort to those around her, and creating memories that her family and friends will cherish forever.

She was a source of strength, comfort, laughter, and love. Her passing leaves a space that can never be filled, but the love she gave and memories she created will live on through.

She was deeply loved, forever missed, and as her husband always said for the last 25 years “she was the most beautiful woman he ever saw”.

She is preceded in death by her father, Damon Powers, brothers, Alan Powers and Brian Powers, mother-in-law, Nellie Ruth Harmon, and sister-in-law, Becky Woods.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Paul Harmon; daughters, Raven Halee Powers and Olivia Harmon; sons, Damon Paul Harmon and Brian Issac Harmon (Janelle); grandchildren Alira Jolene Corrigan, Lorraina Mae Corrigan, and one on the way who she was excited to announce; mother, Barbara Leach; sisters, Tamara Silcox (Patrick), Christal Powers, and Jacklyn Cox (Charles); brothers, Joey Powers, Trevor Powers, Kevin Powers (Melissa), Derrick Powers, James Leach (Loren) and Philip Leach (Emily); father-in-law, Paul Harmon, sisters-in-law, Peggy Kimball (Gary) and Debbie Russell (Gary); and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Eddie W. Barton officiating. Family and friends will meet on meet on Saturday, August 22, 2026, 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery for 11:00 A.M. Graveside Services and Interment.
