In Loving Memory of Lacey Blake Rhoten (1991 - 2025)
Lacey Blake Rhoten, a beautiful, kind soul with a heart of gold, entered into the arms of her Savior on Sunday June 15th, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. She was 33.
To know Lacey was to know sunshine. With a gentle smile and an open heart, she had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved - whether you were family, a lifelong friend, or someone lucky enough to cross her path just once. She lived her life with quiet strength, unshakable grace, and a deep, abiding love for those closest to her.
Her love for Jesus was the foundation of everything she did - from the way she mothered, to the way she treated others with gentleness and compassion. She walked through life with purpose, humility, and a radiant spirit that reflected her deep trust in God.
Lacey was most at peace on the golf course - the place where her competitive spirit, her love for nature, and her joy for life came together in perfect harmony. She approached the game the way she approached life: with focus, laughter, and patience (except maybe on the 17th hole).
Above all else, Lacey loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend - and her greatest joy was building a life filled with love, laughter, and little moments that mattered most. Her presence made life brighter, steadier, and more beautiful.
Lacey was never happier than when she was with her children - Mia, Reid, and Cal - who were her greatest pride and joy. She poured her heart into their lives, showing them every day what it means to be kind, strong, and full of grace. They were her light, her purpose, and her greatest legacy.
Lacey’s life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
She is survived by her husband Matt; her children Mia, Reid, and Cal; her parents Matthew and Karen Housley; her grandparents Danny and Vicki Bruce; her brother Matt Housley and wife Jessica and their three children Sadie, Azlinn, and Nora; her mother-in-law Joyce Rhoten; her lifelong best friend (brother) Jordan McKamey and a wide circle of family and friends who will carry her light with them always. Though her time with us was far too short, her impact was deep and eternal.
A celebration of Lacey’s life will be held on Friday, June 20th at First Presbyterian Church in Belmont, NC. Receiving of friends will be from 4pm to 7pm with the funeral service to follow. In honor of her faith, family, and spirit, we invite you to wear color, share stories, and help us celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the even more beautiful eternity she now knows. Interment will conclude on Saturday, June 21 at 10:00am at Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont, NC.
A Memorial Service will also be held in the Campbell County, TN area. These service times will be announced.
