Mr. Ken E. Owens, age 80 of LaFollette passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church. Ken was a lifelong sportsman who had a great love for fishing and hunting, and enjoyed participating in archery competitions. He was formerly employed with Cumberland Grocery, Ellison Supply Company, and Ellison Logging. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Owens, Sr. and Grace (Miracle) Owens, sisters and brothers, Martha Bell Williams, Jacob Owens, Jr., Sondra Tinnel, Mack Owens, Auburn Owens, Doug Owens, and James Owens, niece and honorary daughter, Rella Moser, and lifelong friends, Blue Ellison, Lloyd Smith, and Roy Wortham.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Sandy (Freeman) Owens; honorary daughters, Karen Jenkins, Elaine Smith, Shannon Ellison, and Priscilla Smith; honorary sons, Jeff Moser, Todd Jenkins, Randy Roth, and Tim Ellison; very-special niece and nephew, Teresa Henegar and Ryan Owens; best friends, Gayenell Baird, Jerry Brown, Jerry Bowman, Jerry Sharp, and Michael Smith; hibernating son, Robert Owens; son, Mark Owens; granddaughter, McKenzie (Owens) Brown; and several other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Thomas Adkins and Rev. Jeff Moser officiating. Interment will follow at Ausmus Cemetery in Speedwell.

Marson Mayes, Dale Mayes, Ryan Owens, Tim Ellison, Jeff Moser, and Brandon Moser will serve as pallbearers.
