John "Johnny" Steven Grimm

John Steven “Johnny” Grimm, age 50 of Huntsville, TN passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at his home. Johnny was born on September 5, 1975 in Cincinnati, OH, the son of James Marion Grimm and Kathleen Mary Dreihs Grimm.

Johnny was a proud graduate of the Tennessee School for the Blind. He loved music and food (especially chocolate pie)! He also enjoyed watching TV with his friends and caregivers going on adventures and long car rides, and spending time with friends and family.

Johnny was a blessing to those who knew him. His life is proof that a disability diagnosis is not the end of a wonderful and beautiful life.

Preceding Johnny in death are his grandparents, Patricia Helen Dreihs, John William Dreihs, Ida Mae Grimm, and Marion Frances Grimm; father, James Marion Grimm; and infant brother, Jimmy Marion Grimm, Jr.

Remaining to cherish Johnny’s memory are his mother, Kathleen Grimm; sister, Jennifer Grimm Carroll and husband, Tim; niece, Cassidy Carroll; nephew, Luke Carroll, and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the DSPs and Nurses at Scott Appalachian Industries for the excellent care and support they have provided Johnny during his time there.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services to follow at Bakers Forge Cemetery with Rev.
