Mr. James W. “Jimmy” “Big George” Stratton age 81 of LaFollette passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the 11th Airborne Division, and a local business owner. Mr. Stratton enjoyed talking with family and friends and telling jokes, and for over 20 years enjoyed attending Mule Day in Columbia, TN. Preceded in death by Parents, James L. and Irene Lobertini Stratton.
Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Eva Stratton; Sons, Steve Stratton and Wife, Becky, and Barry “Hot Dog” Stratton and Wife, Sabrina; Three Granddaughters, Stephanie Grimm and Husband, Jason, Leah Stratton and Matt Smith, and Courtney Stratton and Chris Reynolds; Great-granddaughter, Natalie; Sister, Martha Ann Laxton; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Tuesday 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Father Mike Creson, Rev. Hobart McCreary, and Mr. Mark A. Wells officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for graveside services and interment, will Full Military Honors conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
