Mr. James “Earl” Pierce age 86 of Speedwell passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018.  He was a Retired Firefighter and Captain, the first Fire Chief of the Speedwell Volunteer Fire Dept., a Christian, and of the Church of God Faith.  Preceded in death by Children, William Pierce and Karen E. Domine, Parents, Clyde and Helen Mozingo Pierce, Sisters, Anita Haynes and June Cox.

Survivors:  Children, Melissa A. McBee and husband Allen, Brian P. Pierce and wife JoAnn; 9 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; Sister, Sandy Lambert.  Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services Thursday 6 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Branscomb officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M.
