Mr. James Ray Robbins, age 89 of LaFollette passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at his home. Mr. Robbins proudly served in the US Navy, was a long-time Iron Worker and Member of Iron Workers Local 384, and attended both Midway Baptist Church and First Independent Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Robbins enjoyed Woodworking, watching sports, especially NASCAR racing, and took great pride in caring for his yard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Luster “Luck” and Alethia (Seiber) Robbins, sisters, Eleanor Wilson and Learlene Woodard, and brothers, Robert Robbins and Billy Ray Robbins.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie (Craig) Robbins; his 3 beloved children, Randy Robbins and wife, Melissa, Theresea (Robbins) Harris and husband, Richard, and Rev. C. Todd Robbins; 2 granddaughters, Arika Robbins, and Erin Chapman and husband, Daniel; great-grandson, Kian Chapman; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Covenant Healthcare and Hospice, Dr. Erin Kipp for her special advocacy and care during this time, nurses, Jennifer, Hannah, and Zach, Chaplain Jamie, and Therapists, Falen and Christy.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Midway Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM with his son, Rev. C. Todd Robins, Rev. Harold Robbins, and Rev. Johnny Dabney officiating. Interment will follow at Bakers Forge Cemetery with Military Honors to be conducted by the Honor Guard of Campbell County. Members of Iron Workers Local 384 will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Mr. Robbins honor to a charity of your choice.
