Mr. Herman Lambert, age 89, passed away on Friday December 12, 2025, in Hoover, Alabama at the home of his son and daughter-in-law. Mr. Lambert was born on October 6, 1936, in Speedwell, Tennessee, the son of William Taft Lambert and Rachel (Owens) Lambert. He grew up with 11 siblings in Speedwell, TN. Herman loved nature, family, music, and basketball. He was very adventurous and visited 39 States during his lifetime. Mr. Lambert was a valued member of Duke Power Company before retiring and he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jay, Dewitt (Curly), Lee, and Denny Lambert; sisters, Carol Edwards, Ann Goins, and Paulette Pebley.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Kathryn White Lambert; daughter and son-in-law, Lourie and Vernon Johnson; 5 grandchildren, William Lambert, Laney Lambert, Vinson Johnson, Mary Reagan Fulbright and Aaron Johnson; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Keith and Bill Lambert; 2 sisters, Peggy King and Martha Lambert.

The family will be receiving family and friends at Walters Funeral Home (509 E. Central Ave., LaFollette, TN 37766) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, 10:00 a.m. and proceed to the Ausmus Cemetery in Speedwell, Tennessee for 11:00 a.m. (EST) graveside services with his Grandson, Reverend Aaron Johnson officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Honor Guard of Campbell County.

Pallbearers will be William Lambert, Laney Lambert, Vinson Johnson, Tim Morrow, Charles Bronson and Jeff Hollingsworth.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions be made to: St. Judes Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.

The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the Oasis Hospice, especially Erin, Ashley, Brook and Markiesha, for all their support and care.

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan, Alabama and Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette, Tennessee have been entrusted with the arrangements of Mr. Herman Lambert.
