Garfield King

Mr. Garfield King, age 76 of LaFollette passed away Monday, February 20, 2023.  He was born in Hyden, KY and was of the Pentecostal Faith.  Garfield was a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam, and was a former Coal Miner and Truck Driver.  Preceded in death by Parents, John Garfield King and Bertha Elizabeth Smith King, Brother, Ralph King and Infant Brother, Jimmy King. 

Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Vicky King; Five Children, Doug King, Dr. Scottie King and Wife, Samantha, Kay Smallwood, Charles King and Wife, Jennifer, and Christy Wilson and Husband, Michael; 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren; Sister and Brother-in-Law, Charlotte McQueen and Husband, John. 

Military Honors will be conducted by the Campbell County Honor Guard on Friday, February 24, 2023, 7:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Services will immediately follow.   The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday before services.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Garfield King.
