MSgt. Ret. Franklin E. “Frank” Bailey, age 97, of LaFollette passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Frank was a U.S. Air Force Veteran having served 26 years. After the completion of his Military career, Frank was employed for 23 years with the US Government Civil Service. He had a deep love of music, whether playing in area churches or performing for several programs on 1450 WLAF. He also enjoyed gardening and was a former member of the Honor Guard of Campbell County. He loved spending time with family and friends and was known to tell a good joke or two. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Bailey, daughter, Linda Bailey, former companion, Janie Pierce, parents, Horace and Jessie (Hill) Bailey, and brothers, Dennis Bailey and Joe Bailey.

He is survived by his daughters, Vanessa Barnes (Eugene), Brenda Bailey, and Pamela Shortt; grandchildren, Christopher Bailey, Melissa Marsee, Crystal Wright, Greg McBride, Cody Pullen, Lindsey Mason, and Jason Wallace; several great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie Bailey, and sister, Linda Heatherly (Ray); and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services and Interment will follow at Jones Cemetery with Rev. Kirk Pierce officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Honor Guard of Campbell County. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of MSgt. Ret.
