Eric Joseph Zapata

Eric Joseph Zapata age 41 of LaFollette went to be the Lord on Tuesday, May 24, 2016.  He was born to Roy and Sharon (Keough) Zapata on August 20, 1974.  Eric attended Erie Mason School.  Eric worked construction all his life working in many states in the U.S.  Eric was a devoted Christian attending many churches in his travels.  Most recently he attended New Horizon Baptist Church in LaFollette.  Eric moved to Tennessee to follow construction work.  Eric was known for his humor and his music abilities.  He loved playing his guitar, hiking, camping, singing, swimming, and hunting.

He is survived by seven children; Eric Zapata, Jr., Isabel, Antonio, Aidan, Elena, Gabriel, and Malichi; Father, Roy Zapata, Mother, Sharon Rasey; Sisters, Beth and Sarah; Brother, Philip.  Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016, at New Horizon Baptist Church at 6 P.M. with Rev. Chris Thomas officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 P.M. before services at the Church.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Eric’s Mother, Sharon Rasey.  Online condolences for Eric may be made at www.waltersfuneralhome.net.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Eric Joseph Zapata.
