Dorcas Naomi (Guy) Thomas

Mrs. Dorcas Naomi (Guy) Thomas, age 94 of Jacksboro departed this life to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.  Dorcas loved everyone she met, and everyone she met loved her.   She was a faithful servant of God her entire adult life.  She could play almost any musical instrument and enjoyed sharing her God-given talents with any church that needed help.  Dorcas loved visiting local nursing homes and ministering to the residents.   She had special gift for making anyone she met to feel loved and special.  She is preceded in death by husband, E.J. Thomas, Parents, Alec and Lockey (Hatmaker) Guy.  She was the last surviving sibling of 13 including brothers, Robert, Albert, Paul, Daniel, Samuel, and Tommy Guy, and sisters, Hazel Lynch, Ilenia Bailey, Marie Shelby, and Infants, Margaret, Gracie, and Mary Guy.

Survivors: Sons, Dennis Thomas, and Tim Thomas and fiancé, Valerie Hale; Daughter, Vickie Robbins and husband, Eddie; Grandchildren, Eric (Robin) Robbins, Marc Robbins, Amy (Barry) Jackson, Jennifer (Chris) Demakes, and Kristen Thomas; Great-Grandchildren, Justin (Candice) Robbins, Josh (Megan) Robbins, Julie (Dustin) Shadrick, Ryland Demakes, Embry Demakes, Zachary Thomas, Kayla Newman, Adam Newman, and Brandon Newman; Great-Great-Grandchildren, Rae, Anna, Erica, Sevey, and Channing Robbins, Avery, Emery, Hattie, and Elsie Shadrick, Easton Newman, and Apollo Thomas.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Mike Smith officiating.  Family and friends will meet Friday, January 26, 2024, 1:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for 2:00 P.M. Graveside Services and Interment.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Dorcas Naomi (Guy) Thomas.
