Mr. Donnie “Peewee” Wells, 69 of Lafollette Tennessee, passed away on Monday, January 12,2026. He was always a hard working and caring man with the heart of a giant. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He fought a long hard fight, and he will be missed by all who knew him. Before getting sick he loved being outdoors, whether that was mowing with his little dog riding along, planting flowers, or just sitting outside on the porch enjoying his day, you could not keep him inside. Peewee is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Wells, his mother, Mildred (Simpson) Wells, and his little dog, buddy who he loved dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Regina (Long) Wells who cared for him until the end; daughters, April Marlow and husband, Robert, and Tammy Pennington and husband, Billy; four grandsons Zachary Pennington, Aaron Pennington, Cody Marlow, and Tyson Marlow; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Taylyn, JC, Kayden, Amber, Aubrie, Cassidy, and Dawson; brother, Danny Wells; and brother and best friend, Mike Wells; sister, Donna White and husband, Maurice. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. B. J. Bowman officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday 9:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Powell Valley Cemetery for 10:00 A.M. graveside services and interment.
