Mr. Clyde R. Brantley, Jr. age 71 of LaFollette passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026. A true original who lived life in his own way, Clyde enjoyed hang-gliding, riding motorcycles, and was an accomplished singer, songwriter, and musician who shared his love of music generously with those around him. He was a Jacksboro High School Graduate, and a former welder. In 2011, he began a 15-year career with McCloud Mountain as a Security Guard, a position he took great pride in.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde R. Brantley, Sr. and Leoda (Murray) Brantley, former wife, Tonya Evans, sisters, Kathryn Marie Evans, Nora Wilson, and Alta Carter, infant brother, Carl Brantley, and nephew, Joe Evans.

He is survived by his daughters, Leah Ditmer and husband, Andrew, and Ashley Zanoni; grandchildren, Lydia, Adam, and Alice Ditmer, and Gabrial Zanoni; nieces and nephews, Lindell Wilson, Robert Carter, Linda Heatherly, Steve Carter, Tom Carter, and Betsy Mitchell; long-time friends, Scott and Lisa Fields, and the Fields family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home. A time to share stories and celebrate Clyde’s life will be held at 6:00 PM. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Clyde R. Brantley.
