Mr. James L. “Elmo” Branam, II age 41 of Caryville passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018.  He was of the Southern Baptist Faith, a 1997 Graduate of Gibbs High School, and employed with the Pipe Doctor.  Preceded in death by Father, Lonnie Dale Branam; Great-grandparents, Rev. James Lincoln “Lankern” and Nora Ayers Branam; Grandparents, Leo, Sr. and Margaret Juanell Henry Byrd, and Elzo and Hazel Runge Branam; Several Aunts and Uncles; Special Nephew, Austin “Tater” Kitts. 

 

Survivors: Wife, Renee Branam; Sons, Thomas Ray Claxton and Girlfriend, Brianna, and Nathan Lee Claxton and Wife, Katelyn; God-Daughter, Kali Jo Rhoden; Granddaughter, Paisley Rhoden; Mother, Gloria (Jeannie) Byrd Branam Wallace and Husband, Pops, Dana “Wheat” Wallace; Brothers and Sisters, Rick Branam and Wife, Rhonda, Crystal Kennard and Fiancée, Curtis West, Brian Wallace, Kenny Wallace and Wife, Casey, Tony Wallace and Wife, Shaunetta, Kasey Griffis and Husband, Travis, Jamie Branam, and DeWayne Branam; Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, and many special friends all across the country.

 

Funeral Services Thursday, 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Asbury officiating.  Family and friends will meet Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Mt. Paran Baptist Church Cemetery for Graveside Services and Interment.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Jamie, (I am the only person you allowed to call you that) I am so proud of the fact that you were not only a good man to your family but so many other people thought of you as a good man and friend. I will miss your cheerful, playful ways. You had found all of the joy and love that Renee could share will you and you made a wonderful couple. I am thankful that you found each other and your love for each other was very evident. This is not goodbye, just a we'll see you later. Love you, Aunt Sharon
